About Me

Hi!

I’m a cinematographer, camera operator, editor and after effects artist based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Ever since I can remember I have been obsessed with cameras, I thank my Grandma for this. She’d always have her trusted cine camera on hand at every family event (or other peoples family events!) as I was growing up, occasionally letting me take the reins. It was this spark that years later lead me to study Media and Photography at Barnsley College. There I met the tutors who would inspire and give me the knowledge I needed to enable me to do what i do today.

Since leaving college I have worked on numerous projects, ranging from corporate videos, advertising campaigns, music videos to short and feature films. All of which have been produced with little or no budget, proving that with a little creativity and ingenuity you can create something that has all the production value of a big budget production. No shot is impossible, you just have to work harder to get what you want and the payback will be so much sweeter when you do.

By day I work at Barnsley College, where I manage an apprentice staffed media company, passing on the experience I have gained over the years to the next generation and hopefully inspiring them in the same way my tutors did. The rest of my time is spent working on a freelance basis as well as working alongside local film companies Safehouse Pictures UK and Dee_Fifteen.

I take great pride in all the products I create, ensuring they are effective, completed in good time and of a high quality; allowing clients to communicate their message to an audience. In order to keep up with the growing video production market I continually develop my skillset, learning new techniques and reading up on new software packages and looking at how they can further develop the products I create. I’ll never say that don’t I how to achieve something, just that I haven’t yet learnt how to do it.

If you’d like to know more or would like work me please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
